Walls as shelters, fortifications, not borders anymore; or even as explicit blank paper, gathering thoughts, emotions, art and mere wishes. Or, ultimately, a formal synthesis out of its unexpected shapes: this is the core of this research. A project aiming to understand reality as it shows itself among lines and shadows, yet always abrupt. It may be found either in an aesthetic balance, or mirroring sensations, moods, a sense of belonging. Below, a sample of about 80 photographs. This project ended up in a book - curated by Gigliola Foschi - of 33 photographs, structured in five sections featured with very short quotes from the Proust’s Recherche. It results in some sort of cross-references which seem to investigate the origin of these photographs themselves.
